Tomorrow is our annual Ploughing Match and Farm & Tomorrow is our annual Ploughing Match and Farm & Garden Produce Show. The day is being held at Duck End Farm by kind permission of H. Maskell & Son, hosted by Silsoe Young Farmers’ Club @silsoeyfc Key details are as follows: • Sunday 19th September • Duck End Farm, Wilstead MK45 3HP • £3/person on the door; open to the public from 09:00 • 08:00 - 11:00- Staging of produce, grain and static classes • 09:00-14:00- Ploughing • 11:00 - approx. 15:00 - Club team events See you there! 🚜

The award categories are: • Entrepreneur of the Year - Awarded to the YFC member who has launched a new enterprise – amid the uncertainty of Brexit, a pandemic and a recession! • Community Spirit Award - Awarded to the YFC that has supported its local rural community during the membership year 2020-21. • YFC Supporter of the Year - This award recognises all of the unsung heroes who support YFCs throughout the year, sharing their expertise, time and generosity to develop the next generation. • Community Supporter of the Year - Awarded to a YFC member who has gone above and beyond to support their local/rural community. The Young Farmers organisation is for young people between the ages of 10-26 with an interest in the countryside. Though you definitely do not have to be a farmer to be a member of one of our clubs. Bedfordshire YFC is one of many counties through out the UK that has clubs, currently we have over 400 members in 7 clubs.
